However, to get the most up-date information, the official BOP website has an efficient search engine that will help you accordingly. You can search using an inmate’s name or by their BOP numbers. Some of the information presented by the website includes the following:

Sending a Mail

To maintain close ties with loved ones, inmates can send and receive mails at the FCI Milan. An inmate can receive mails from two categories, general correspondence or special mail. General correspondence mail is just normal mails from friends and family and is opened for inspection before the recipient receives it. On the other hand, a special mail could be an important communication from the inmate's attorney, and this can only be opened in the presence of the inmate.

Sending Money

Inmates in all BOP facilities, including FCI Milan, can receive funds into their commissary accounts. Such funds are used to purchase extra commissary items such as stamps, envelopes, and toiletries. There are three ways through which you can send funds into an inmate’s account:

Phone Calls

Inmates at the FCI Milan are not permitted to have cell phones or receive calls. However, they can make 15 minutes monitored and recorded calls to anybody listed on their approved contacts. They incur the costs from their inmate accounts or a collect call arrangement.
