Sending a Mail

To maintain close ties with loved ones, inmates can send and receive mails at the FCI Ray Brook. An inmate can receive mails from two categories, general correspondence or special mail. General correspondence mail is just normal mails from friends and family and is opened for inspection before the recipient receives it. On the other hand, a special mail could be an important communication from the inmate's attorney, and this can only be opened in the presence of the inmate.

Sending Money

Inmates in all BOP facilities, including FCI Ray Brook, can receive funds into their commissary accounts. Such funds are used to purchase extra commissary items such as stamps, envelopes, and toiletries. There are three ways through which you can send funds into an inmate’s account:

Phone Calls
